This is a bug in the newest Steam patch and it has not been fixed. They still work for the disk version, but NOT for the Steam version! If a mod does not come with Steam Launch Options allowing it to launch directly from the Steam Games list, then it is NOT compatible though it may work with error and may completely corrupt your game so that even deleting and redownloading will NOT help you play again leaving only the option of uninstalling completely for 30 days to allow the Steam server cache to reset before you can download and install again. However, people also rehost outdated versions of mods after the makers disable the downloads because they have not fixed them for the new Steam version which is different for disk. However, I want to give a warning about searching Moddb for mods!
